Alvin: How to set up its voice (tone, rules, signature, language)?

The “Alvin’s voice” section lets you define how Alvin writes to your guests: tone, rules, signature, default language and topics to approve.

🤝 Good to know: These settings apply to your whole account (all your workspaces). The “Enable AI replies” setting, however, is managed separately for each workspace: Settings → Workspaces → your workspace → “AI Agent”.

Step 1: Open Alvin’s voice settings

  1. Click the ☰ menu at the top right

  2. Click “Settings”

  3. Open the “AI & MCP” tab

Step 2: Define Alvin’s voice

  1. Tone: choose Warm, Professional, Casual, Concise, Enthusiastic or Upscale

  2. Rules for every reply: enter the rules Alvin must follow (2,000 characters max), for example “always mention the free parking behind the building”

  3. Signature: it is added at the end of every reply. Leave it empty to send replies without a signature

  4. Default language: used when the guest’s language cannot be detected

  5. Topics to approve: if a guest message contains one of these words, it is flagged for your approval before any reply is sent

  6. Click “Save”

Congratulations, Alvin now writes to your guests in your voice 🎉

💡 Reminder: Use topics to approve to stay in control of sensitive messages (refunds, complaints...) before Alvin replies.
